Competition Pricing & Tuition

REGISTRATION AND UP-FRONT COSTS

There is a one-time Registration Fee for new students. If you are already enrolled, you will not pay this fee again when joining the competitive company.

If you are a new student, your initial registration fee will be $35 for one student or $50 for multiple students.

MONTHLY TUITION

Every student at Avant Garde pays $145 per month for tuition, on the first of every month.

Competitive students are enrolled in multiple classes, including Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Acro and Choreography.

DISCOUNTS

Sibling Discount: If you have more than one child enrolled in the competitive program, each child will receive a 10% discount on their monthly tuition fee.

Optional Class Discount: For competitive Students only, if you would like to enroll in one of the optional classes (Pre-Pointe, Conditioning, Pointe, etc.), you can add any additional class for only $25 per class per month.

MEMBERSHIP FEE

Every competitive student pays a $25 Membership, on the first of every month.

This membership helps with the additional training and to help us lower some of the competition fees during the competition season.

COSTUME FEES

Each student is responsible for one costume ,per genre, for competitions. They will also have one costume per show.

The list below is per season, per student:

    • Tiny Dancers: 2 Competition Costumes, 2 Show Costumes
    • Apprentices: 3 Competition Costumes, 2 Show Costumes
    • Scholars: 3 Competition Costumes, 2 Show Costumes

Costume fees are typically around $100 for non-lead roles, and $150 for lead roles.

COMPETITION KIT

Every Competitive Student is required to have a Competition Kit with them, at all times.

You must have, or order, these items no later than August 31st of the current season.

COMPETITION ENTRY FEES

Group Routines
Every student will perform at 4 Regional Competitions.

    • Tiny Dancers: 3 Group Routines / Competition (12 Total)
    • Apprentices: 3-4 Group Routines / Competition (12-16 Total)
    • Scholars: 4-5 Group Routines / Competition (16-20 Total)

Each Group Routine is $100 per entry, but could be more, depending on the location.

Solos, Duos and Trios
Any competitive student may request to be in a solo, duo or trio. All solos, duos and trios must be approved by the Artistic Director.

    • Solos: $200 / Solo / Competition
    • Duos: $125 / Duo / Student / Competition
    • Trios: $110 / Trio / Student / Competition

Choreography Private Lessons
Students performing in Solos, Duos or Trios will also be responsible for Choreography Private Lessons.

Private Lessons will be scheduled and coordinated with the Artistic Director, upon approval.

Initial Private Lessons: The Initial 4 Private Lessons are mainly for creating and setting the choreography.

Bi-Weekly Recurring Private Lessons: The bi-weekly private lessons will continue through the remainder of the competitive season for corrections, technique improvements, and fixing steps based on the judges suggestions.

    • Solo Private Lesson Package (Per Solo Routine):
      • Initial 4 Private Lessons - $350
      • Bi-weekly Private Lessons $50/ea.
    • Duo Private Lesson Package (Per Duo Routine):
      • Initial 4 Private Lessons - $325/ Student
      • Bi-weekly Private Lessons $50/ea.
    • Trio Private Lesson Package (Per Trio Routine):
      • Initial 4 Private Lessons - $300/ Student
      • Bi-weekly Private Lessons $50/ea.

Private Lessons

Any student at Avant Garde Theatre of Dance can take a Private Lesson, at any time. We encourage Competitive Dancers to take at least one private lesson per month, to get the best results on stage!

The pricing below is for technique building, if you are performing in a solo, duo, or trio, please refer to the Choreography Private Lessons pricing.

    • Single Private Lesson: $65 / hour
    • Bundle Private Lessons: $120 for 2 one-hour lessons.
    • Bulk Private Lessons: $250 for 5 one-hour Private Lessons.

Music

Avant Garde Theatre of Dance will agree to consider your choice of music for your Solo, Duo or Trio. All music will be cut and mastered by Avant Garde Theatre of Dance, at no additional charge, upon approval.

I signed my 4 year old granddaughter up In June for a summer dance camp this past summer to see if she would enjoy it & if dance was for her. At first she was VERY skeptical & was nervous & scared, but the dance instructors & staff made her feel very welcome & comfortable. After that week we signed her up for ballet, jazz & acro dance classes & she loves every bit of it. Sarah & Chris have a great dance Studio & staff to accompany them. We love Avant Garde & look forward to many years of dance!!

Ennis is blessed to have such a wonderful Dance studio. The entire staff is always eager to answer any questions needed in a very quick manner. I greatly appreciate their punctuality with their classes as well as their communication with parents. My daughter has grown so much in her love for dance as well as blossomed in her dance skills. She is currently on the competition team dancing five days a week and is excited to be apart of a wonderful group of girls. Ms. Sarah is an amazing instructor/owner with so much knowledge and love for her students. Ms. Sarah and her husband, Chris bring so much encouragement to the students at Avant Garde. We are beyond blessed to have such an amazing Dance studio here in Ennis. There are many things and people that make this dance studio the best. The staff is what makes this studio so amazingly great. They are always there to answer any questions or concerns that you have. They communicate with all the parents and students to make sure we are all on the same page for classes and shows. They have helped my child grow in many ways…. They have taught her discipline and strength as well as learning the art of dance, patience and punctuality. My child has a love for dance and and the staff that is there. My daughter signed up just barely over 1 year ago for dance, she quickly fell in love with not only dance but her teachers and her new “Dance Family” which is what you get when you join Avant Garde. She is now part of the Tiny Dancers Competition Team. We really love that they focus on each child and focus on technique. I love when things are taught the proper way and that is exactly what you get at this dance studio! Mrs. Sarah and Mr. Chris as well as the rest of the staff and instructors are very professional with the students and love each one like family! There are so many options for classes in all age groups as well! You will not be disappointed at this studio!
