Nutcracker Event Volunteers Needed!

We are excited to announce that we are looking for volunteers for our upcoming Nutcracker Show on December 7th!

Volunteers will play a vital role in ensuring rehearsals and the performance run smoothly.

Here are the key details:

  • Rehearsals: December 5th & 6th, from 5:15 PM to 9:00 PM at Kaufman High School.
  • Show Day: December 7th, volunteers will arrive at the same time as all of the dancers. All backstage and prop hand volunteers will help with the final loading of props and backstage cleanup after the show.

Positions will be assigned automatically based on your past volunteer experience, the specific needs of the show, and other factors. Please note that you can request specific roles on the form, but if that role is not available we will be required to move you into a role needing support.

Important Information:

If you volunteer, you do NOT need to purchase a ticket, and you will not be able to watch the show. However, being a part of this experience will be memorable for both you and your dancer, for a lifetime!

Here are the positions we need filled:

  • 15 Dressing Room Attendants (costumes, hair, makeup)
    • 1 Confirmed Volunteer
  • 6 Prop Assistants (backstage, moving props)
  • 3 Merchandise Table Assistants
    • 1 Confirmed Volunteer
  • 3 Ushers

Note: Ushers and Merch Assistants will still be able to watch the show, so you will still need to purchase tickets. These are first come first serve and we will give the position to the first that request those positions. Once all volunteers are met, we will remove these from the site.

I signed my 4 year old granddaughter up In June for a summer dance camp this past summer to see if she would enjoy it & if dance was for her. At first she was VERY skeptical & was nervous & scared, but the dance instructors & staff made her feel very welcome & comfortable. After that week we signed her up for ballet, jazz & acro dance classes & she loves every bit of it. Sarah & Chris have a great dance Studio & staff to accompany them. We love Avant Garde & look forward to many years of dance!!

Ennis is blessed to have such a wonderful Dance studio. The entire staff is always eager to answer any questions needed in a very quick manner. I greatly appreciate their punctuality with their classes as well as their communication with parents. My daughter has grown so much in her love for dance as well as blossomed in her dance skills. She is currently on the competition team dancing five days a week and is excited to be apart of a wonderful group of girls. Ms. Sarah is an amazing instructor/owner with so much knowledge and love for her students. Ms. Sarah and her husband, Chris bring so much encouragement to the students at Avant Garde. We are beyond blessed to have such an amazing Dance studio here in Ennis. There are many things and people that make this dance studio the best. The staff is what makes this studio so amazingly great. They are always there to answer any questions or concerns that you have. They communicate with all the parents and students to make sure we are all on the same page for classes and shows. They have helped my child grow in many ways…. My daughter signed up just barely over 1 year ago for dance, she quickly fell in love with not only dance but her teachers and her new “Dance Family” which is what you get when you join Avant Garde. She is now part of the Tiny Dancers Competition Team. We really love that they focus on each child and focus on technique. I love when things are taught the proper way and that is exactly what you get at this dance studio! Mrs. Sarah and Mr. Chris as well as the rest of the staff and instructors are very professional with the students and love each one like family! There are so many options for classes in all age groups as well! You will not be disappointed at this studio!
